Our dinner stop at a historic spot features a hot, picnic style dinner. After dinner we make our way to the world's tallest volcano for a sensational sunset view. Stand in awe at the largest collection of telescopes on earth witnessing some of the most beautiful scenery you'll ever experience. At a lower elevation your naturalist guide will reveal the wonders and world-class clarity of the Hawaiian skies. The drive to the summit of Mauna Kea is one you'll never forget as you climb to 13,500' elevation above sea level. Once at the summit you are afforded spectacular views of the horizon, Haleakala on Maui, Mauna Kea's world-class array of telescopes and the famous Muana Kea sunset.
