You'll visit a hidden world of volcanic majesty above Kailua-Kona village in the privately owned lands of Kaupulehu an amazing testament to the diversity of the island.


You'll see desert lands quickly fading away to dense tropical rainforest.   This fun and exciting three and half hour exploration begins at the Hawaii Foret & Trail Headquarters.


You'll leave the pavement for a short, yet rugged, four-wheel drive to meet with your on site Interpretive Naturalist who will lead you through the misty mountain discovery of the past eruption's deep craters, lava tubes, Ohia forest and magnificent coastal views.
